About

ABOUT THE METHOD

My name is Ivana Petrović (formerly Ristić), and I am the first Licensed RTT® Therapist in Serbia. I completed my training in Rapid Transformation Therapy ®, RTT ®, at a UK school, where I graduated as an RTT ® Practitioner, Certified Hypnotherapist, and RTT ® Associate. 

 

Later I expanded my knowledge by taking additional studies in Amsterdam where I had the honor of being directly trained by Marisa Peer, founder of RTT® therapeutic method, voted for the UK's best therapist award multiple times, and an internationally multi-award-winning hypnotherapist. Working alongside Marisa has deepened my RTT® skills and my practice has exploded after this. I graduated in Amsterdam and received Advanced Certification in Rapid Transformation Therapy® and the title of  RTT® Therapist. 

Post graduation, after completing 480 hours of Professional Development, I have received a certification in Clinical Hypnotherapist.

I am currently finishing a three‑year Somatic Experiencing® training program. SE is a body‑oriented educational modality that supports understanding and developing a deeper relationship with your own body and its responses to stress. It was developed by Dr. Peter Levine and emerged from multidisciplinary research in stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, Indigenous practices, and medical biophysics.

“Korak iznutra” is my innovative approach to inner transformation. It is not an accredited method, but a personal pathway I developed by integrating the knowledge and techniques I’ve studied and practiced for years — from RTT® and hypnotherapy to Somatic Experiencing® and somatic work.
I practice an approach that quickly and effectively uncovers the root cause of your mental and emotional challenges and creates the possibility for long‑lasting results with a minimal number of sessions.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

The RTT® method is known as a client‑centered approach that reaches the core of the issue much faster — the root cause that shaped how you feel today. Whatever you’re experiencing now, you weren’t born with it; it was learned throughout childhood as a mechanism that helped you survive discomfort. It has always been there to protect you from pain and overwhelm.

 

By using hypnotherapy as one of the tools in this process, we uncover the root cause of your issue very quickly. You gain access to the core stories you’ve been unconsciously telling yourself every day, for decades, without even realizing it. Through further work, you develop the ability to reshape them and replace them with healthy, functional beliefs that reflect your true self

WHY IS SOMATIC WORK IMPORTANT?

Understanding alone is not enough. You can know everything about your patterns, analyze them, explain them rationally — and still feel the same.


That’s because trauma doesn’t live only in the mind; it lives in the body.

This is where Somatic Experiencing® (SE) comes in. SE goes deeper than conversation because it works with bodily sensations and the nervous system. When the body remains “stuck” in past reactions, the feelings of discomfort, fear, or pain keep returning — no matter how well you understand them. Through somatic work, we learn to release that stored energy, help the nervous system find balance, and allow the felt experience to finally shift. This is the difference between temporary relief and deep inner change.


Talking can bring clarity, but lasting transformation happens only when the body feels safety and completion of old responses.
This is exactly where Korak iznutra stands apart — it combines the power of RTT® in uncovering the cause with the depth of SE in releasing bodily patterns, so that change becomes real and lasting.

How did you become who you are today? What happened to you?

The way you respond to your triggers reveals the beliefs and patterns you carried from childhood.
Anger, sadness, jealousy, inadequacy, or the feeling that you don’t deserve love — these are learned beliefs that shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Over time, they create symptoms such as anxiety, depression, fears, perfectionism, or workaholism.

When our needs aren’t met, the mind finds ways to protect us from pain.


Maybe you learned to please others to feel loved, to withdraw because it once felt safer, or to prove your worth through work and achievements. These were adaptive mechanisms that once helped you survive. 


But today, those same patterns may be holding you back, distancing you from who you truly are and from the life you want to live.

If you didn’t receive enough validation, unconditional love, or space to develop your individuality in childhood, you likely developed unconscious survival strategies. They disconnect you from your emotions and identity, so you seek validation externally — through relationships, work, or even addictions.


This brings temporary relief, but the pain remains. These unconscious patterns often stay hidden because you spend so much time in your mind — analyzing, rationalizing, trying to explain something that was formed deep within you.


That’s why deep change is needed — an approach that reaches those layers so the transformation can be lasting, not just temporary.

WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS, YOU DON’T REACT TO THE EVENT ITSELF
YOU REACT TO YOUR PERCEPTION OF IT.

Out of all possible outcomes, your mind automatically chooses the worst one.


You don’t consciously analyze all options — the subconscious instantly assumes the most painful interpretation.
It happens automatically, without thinking.

Think back:
When did you first feel hurt, lonely, angry?
When did you first believe you weren’t worthy of love or respect?
Did it repeat later? How often?
Who made you feel different, unseen, or unimportant?

Most people trace these answers back to childhood.
That’s where we begin to uncover and understand the events and traumas — big and small — that shaped your beliefs.

Your inner interpretation shapes your emotions, behaviors, and decisions.
That’s why change doesn’t begin on the outside — it begins within, through Korak iznutra, in the way you learn to observe and understand what is happening inside you.
